We have reached the half way

mark for this 2nd year of Futsal games at Bishop Connolly High School and have headed into our winter school break.  Its exciting times for Futsal here in Fall River.  In the 2nd year of this Futsal league we have posted additional team registrations and larger rosters participating.  Also, in addition to the regular season of play many of our players accepted an invitation to compete in the 2005 Massachusetts State Cup Championships held last month.  This was their first introduction to Futsal competitions at the highest competitive level for youth programs and the Catholic Youth Teams, with players from St. Michael, St. Stanislaus and Holy Name schools, did very well.  This is the first in a series of steps being taken to encourage and prepare the Catholic Youth Futsal League All-Stars to compete for the Futsal State Cup Title in 2006. True to form, these young players have learned an awful lot from their individual coaches and Club President, Bill Sampaio.
