THE
Cage, located in Endah Par-ade, Sri Petaling, has app-roached
schools in Sri Petaling and Bukit Jalil to form futsal
clubs.
Each student have to pay a monthly fee of RM20 to receive a
membership card. Cardholders can utilize the futsal courts
free of charge for a maximum of two hours from 10am to 6pm.
The Cage director R. Karunakaran said that they would
encourage SMK Sri Petaling to form a futsal club. Membership
cards have already been distributed to students of the Bukit
Jalil Sports School (BJSS), the first school to form a
futsal club affiliated to The Cage.
“Normally, it costs RM100 an hour to book a futsal court
during peak periods. Most students cannot afford it,” said
Karunakaran.
“Students in schools in Bukit Jalil and Sri Petaling,
especially those who don't have their own fields, should
form futsal clubs and take advantage of our offer.”
Recently, 20 teams each took part in the boys' Under-15 and
Under-18 categories of the Datuk Subra Futsal Cup hosted by
The Cage. The event was organised by the Seputeh MIC
Division
Kuka FC won the boys' Under-18 title, while Kuli Puli won
the boys' Under-15 title. The champions each received RM200,
hampers and trophies.
