Welcome

t he Norfolk County Futsal League,
co-host
of the 2006 Massachusetts
Futsal State Cup Championships.
NCFL is the only United States Futsal
Federation (USFF) sanctioned Futsal program servicing
the central Massachusetts area. Our league is
run by the United States Futsal Federation (USFF)
National Director of Coaches, Bill Sampaio. Bill
is a leading authority on the sport of Futsal in our
region and his elected position with the USFF serves
as a great testimony to the respect he garners from
his peers throughout the country.
Bill
Sampaio has spent a lifetime playing, training and
administering to Futsal programs. His
understanding of the game and his ability to teach
that to children of all ages is second to none.
He subscribes to an authentic representation of the
sport of Futsal and how the skills developed by proper
training and competitions can translate into great
successes for its players.
Last
year the NCFL hosted the Massachusetts State Cup and
prepared several teams for the USFF Regional
Championships. Fourteen teams from
Massachusetts, (13 from NCFL) traveled to California
to participate in the 2005 National Futsal
Championships sponsored by the United States Futsal
Federation, a federation comprised of some 40,000
players from throughout all regions of the country.
Five of these teams were named as medalists at the
nationals and two NCFL teams were crowned National
Champions! Congratulations to the New Bedford
Pitbulls and the Shooting Stars FC!
